Read reviews that mention single subject back cover subject notebook subject durcken livescribe pen highly recommend even though front and back big deal echo pen smart pen use them all the time high school pocket dividers works well maybe i am to rough rough lol carry around excellent recently deal maybe.

Because of the placement of the perforations and holes, you need to have a 3 ring binder that is at LEAST 2″ thick to place the notebook in a binder and not destroy the spiral crucken.
Which you need to put this in some kind of protective something because Even the back cover. The starter notebook has a great, thick, cardboard back cover that is stiff and sturdy. That’s something you would expect and need in a full size notebook, especially if you are a college or high school student. Sadly, the dividers with the pockets are firmer and sturdier than the cover.
Both the single subject and the 3 subject fit into the one I linked to this review, but you can’t fold the notebook back on itself while it is in the cover. It slips in and out really easily though, so it’s not a big deal to me anyway. The pages have all the same control icons at the bottom as the starter notebook, which apparently is a common complaint with some of the other notebooks and it also comes with a little bookmark that has the icons on it as well.
I have the Echo pen and it works just as it is supposed to work. The paper is the exact same size as ordinary printer paper. If you remove it from the notebook along the perforations, you can pre-print your class lecture notes or powerpoints on the paper and then take the notes during lecture while recording, rather than hand copying everything.
The printed notes will not appear on the upload in Echo desktop, but you can always add some keywords later to give your handwritten notes more context. If you write additional notes on the paper while listening to the playback on the pen, it will sync the additional notes to the audio! So if you order them just one or two at a time, Amazon is the way to go, but 3 or more would be cheaper from Livescribe.
So blue ones are all numbered 1, reds are 2, blacks are 3, and orange is 4. You can only have one number of a size in use at a time, so you can have a blue 1 in 3-subject and a blue 1 in 1-subject in use at the same time, but not 2 of the blue 1 3-subject at the same time. Works well with livesceibw 3.
If your hard on ur notebooks covers get destroyed or damaged or will be taking your notebook places with you and taking it in and out of the bag this isn’t for you. This is because there are no features that increase the durability of the book.
But if you plan on note moving this book much ie keep it stationary on a desk not taking it places it will work then it should work fine. Its great works well has all the special elements that are needed for use with the livescribe.
Pages are nice quality and no other complaints about problems working with the livescribe 3 pen. BUT the front cover isn’t plastic like 5 star notebooks. If you are using at at highschool where it won’t going in and out of a bag multiple times a day it should be fine. But the flimsy multi layered cover is crap it’s thinner then the normal paper cardboard back covers on cheap notebooks and isn’t durable.
So if you are taking it in and out of a bag multiple times or throwing it in a locker it’s going to show wear after the first you. After a less than a week the layers at the edge start coming apart outer most layers sorta curl up.
After two weeks you will most likely see wear by the coil binding. Because of this I would not purchase this again.
I believ this to be a much better option costs wise and durability wise! Less chance of notes getting destroyed. The other option I’m considering for next semester is using a single subject in a portfolio and swap the notebooks but that’s not convenient when I have multiple classes in a row. The loose leaf placed in those personalizable notebooks give me many options.
Such the ability to rearrange my notes, add pages where needed, and organize my notes better by sectioning it with dividers and all. However I have looked into ways of protecting this notebook from wear and tear but haven’t found many options.
What I decided on was contact paper lining the front and back cover this protects the outermost edges but I couldn’t figure out a way to protect the holes where the metal binding goes through. I extended the contact paper past the edge to give it a lip for two reasons.
Livescrlbe any damage would happen to the contact paper first since that part isn’t attached directly onto the book. Second is because some of the pages of the note book were starting to show wear from the pages sliding on the binding. The cover is usually at least a dtucken larger then the pages so liescribe it provides extra protect from the pages of the cover slides slight to the side.
I tried to show how much the actual pages you take notes on are exposed when the cover slightly shift. I also showed how the extra cm I added to the notebook with the contact paper acts to protect the pages.
So far it’s working. I will update through out the semester with how it’s doing. I really love having this bigger notebook to use for all my classes. Same dot paper and design as your single subject notebook. It has a total of pages front and back and is separated into pages per section by the 2 pocket dividers for a total of 6 very useful pockets.
The front inside cover has the standard calculator, status and settings tool, and the back inside cover has the calculator, status, settings and keyboard too. All in all, exactly as the single subject notebook but its 3 in one and smaller than carrying 3 separate notebooks. As with any notebook, it is subject papwr normal wear and tear, and livescrbie about as sturdy as a notebook can be. Because I carry an enormous amount of books, my notebook took a good beating, but is still intact!!
