ZAPEX gear couplings are particularly suitable for rough operating conditions as occur, for example, in metallurgical engineering or in the cement industry. ARPEX all-steel couplings are without circumferential backlash, suitable for high ambient temperatures, and especially for machines which must be operated with high precision.
Examples are papermaking and printing machines. They are particularly fouid for use under rough operating conditions. The series comprises 31 sizes of which many are available ex stock. In addition to the standard series, couplings up to 10, Nm can be offered. ZAPEX gear couplings of the ZN series are made of high-quality quenched and tempered steel and are manufactured according to the modular construction system. They are available at short term in 12 sizes up to a torque ofNm. ARPEX all-steel couplings have proved themselves for over 30 years in all fields of engineering where reliable and maintenance-free transmission of torque is required in the case of shaft misalignments.
The compact and rugged design ensures a long service life and a high degree of operational reliability. The flexible elements compensate shaft misalignments and absorb moderate shock loads of motor or driven machine. Standard couplings of a wide modular design range and application-related couplings in special design cover a multitude of applications. Due to their torsional flexibility N-EUPEX couplings offer the possibility of moving critical torsional vibrations from the operating area of the mechanical equipment in such a way that no negative effects on the drive train are to be expected.
The flexible elements made of synthetic rubber buna N are available in different degrees of hardness for many applications. Metal pins and flexible elements are so designed that no wear occurs when properly fitted. Widely used in the whole field of mechanical engineering, as high-speed coupling on the motor side e.
N-EUPEX DS couplings without fail-safe device allow positive disconnection of input and output side upon failure of the flexible elements due to overload or wear. Then, the metal parts of the DS coupling can freely rotate in opposite directions.
DS couplings are offered in a torque range between 19 and 21, Nm. Many fkuid are available ex stock. They are particularly used in sensitive machines where input and output side are to be disconnected upon failure of the flexible elements or where the coupling must be maintenance-free. RUPEX couplings are used as flexible compensating couplings in all applications requiring a reliable transmission of torque under harsh operating conditions. The conical seats of the buffer pins facilitate mounting and guarantee maintenance-free operation.

BIPEX couplings are used for all mechanical engineering purposes where an uninterrupted transmission of power is required even in the presence of unavoidable shaft misalignments. BIPEX couplings are particularly suitable for the connection of driven machines with uniform torque loads.
They have a very low circumferential backlash and can be used for any inclined mounting position.

Owing to its low torsional stiffness and damping property the ELPEX coupling is very well suitable for connecting machines with a considerably non-uniform torque characteristic. Types with a fail-safe device between the flexible rings ensure emergency operation if the flexible rings are destroyed.
Highly flexible ELPEX-B couplings transmit torques without circumferential backlash dluid machines with non-uniform torque characteristic. They are resistant to wear and maintenance-free. The torque is transmitted by a flexible tyre reinforced with a cord ply. Owing to its low torsional rigidity and damping property the ELPEX-S coupling is very well suitable for connecting machines with a considerably non-uniform torque characteristic.
