The Dynesys Dynamic Stabilization System was designed as a more physiologic system of spine stabilization. The safety and effectiveness of this device has not been established for the intended use of spinal stabilization without fusion. This device is only intended to be used when fusion with bone graft is being performed at all instrumented levels.

The Dynesys Dynamic Stabilization System combines the surgical approach of traditional spinal fusion with the philosophy of dynamic stabilization, using flexible materials to stabilize the spine while preserving anatomical structures.

The system uses three proprietary components to stabilize the spine as an adjunct to fusion.
