There are so many wonderful recordings, also here at delcamp. Those are a great inspiration for me. I have worked on the fluidity of the fingering recently and wasn’t afraid to tame one or utlimo spot with changing some notes.
I am happy that as an amateur player I can do this without fremolo slaughtered I hope. It is not yet really up to speed. But who said that we have to play it at breakneck speed? So this is a slowly version, with many buzzes and some minor mistakes, anyway, there was a time I considered it unplayable.
I opened the window behind me and let the spring come in. And I got a nice take which I’d like to humbly present to you and of course put up to critique! As always, for the video-junkies I’ve created a video version to be downloaded at http: You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. Being an amature myself level 2 I cant comment on the technical aspects, but who cares, it sounded very enjoyable. I admire your effort.
It is better to play slowly and clean rather than playing fast with many mistakes. This is one of my favorite Barrios pieces and you play it extremely well. You don’t sound like you are very far from the final tempo. Your tremolo is very clean sounding and even. I would much rather listen to a slower, even tremolo than galloping, out of control tremolo.
You played it just wonderful, with a strong beauty in it! Yes, as you have said, not as fast as I’ve heard it before but your tremolo sounds very articulate and in control which is more important than speed.
A beautiful performance thankyou GT. It is so beautifully crafted and a joy to listen to. I hope you are getting a huge amount of pleasure from your music, because you are certainly giving a lot to your listeners. Thank you for allowing us to hear you play this.

Your control and expression is very good and you have made a very haunting recording with this piece. I have listened to this without my “guitarist ears” on and, as a piece of music and performance, this really is absolutely beautiful.
The guitarist ultiom me says “too slow”. The music lover says “perfect”. Thankyou for posting this.
It’s one of my favourites and something I aspire to playing some day. And let’s face uotimo, this surely has to be one of the best intros in guitar music.
I can easily say that I have not bareios professionally filmed guitar as visually pleasing as you have accomplished. Bravo on a very sensitively played and beautifully filmed work! I’m one of those that strongly believe tremolo need not be break-neck to be good – smooth and even does it for me – and, though I wouldn’t mind hearing a couple of the position changes be just a weeeee bit more fluid and quick – I think this teemolo a beautiful rendition of a lovely piece!!
You did this very very well for sure!! I’m seriously jealous about this one!!!
