This standard is issued under the fixed designation C ; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year of original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. Pastes shall be made with thixotropic agents. In combination with the cured resin, the surfacing veil helps determine the thickness of the resin-rich layer, reduces microcracking, and provides a nonwicking chemically resistant layer. Additional desirable considerations in choosing a veil for a specific application include: These products shall be a commercial grade of E-type glass fiber with a sizing that is compatible with the resin.
